Commissioner Gordon has been a central figure in Batman's crusade against crime going all the way back to his first appearance in 1939! Gordon cares about justice and the law, not politics or personal advancement. That's a rare trait in the decadent city of Gotham.I do wish the figure came with a badge and a gun instead of .... Bat-Mite.Ugh, that era of cartoons was a mixed bag for sure. Every 'adventure' type cartoon had to have some kind of goofy character for comic relief. Many of us kids hated it, but we had to endure it to see the good stuff. Fantastic Four had H.E.R.B.I.E. the robot, Godzilla had Godzookie, Space Ghost had the chimp, Superfriends had a dog, and so on and so on. So, the cartoon makers dug up an old Batman character from the 1950s, an imp called "Bat-Mite." Voila, comic relief for 3 year olds... The 'figure' in this set is really just a single-piece of molded plastic, no articulation or accessories at all.
