Jason part 6 is my husband's favorite and also the most hardest and expensive one to find ..great quality though.Took a while like a week and a halfBut so worth the waitPerfect condition so happy ??This isn't the first time that we've received a Jason Voorhees from NECA, and I sure hope it isn't the last either. These just keep getting better and better. While I own a previous one from Friday the 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter, he took a shelf dive and his mask went flying off so I was looking to get a new one. Luckily, I was able to get this figure almost as soon as he came out and I think he's probably the best Jason NECA has done.Let's start out by looking at the sculpt. Jason here is of course based on Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, and most people tend to think that's the best in the series. I can tell you right now that they've done an expert job in capturing his look from the movie. Without the mask, you're able to see him how we barely did in the movie. His lips are gone and the ax wound from Part III is still there. You can even stick his machete in there if you work it in. Now it looks to be accurate from what little we've actually seen of Jason unmasked in Jason Lives from behind the scenes and such but you're gonna display him with his trademark hockey mask on I imagine. The mask is standard stuff we've seen from NECA before, but it's more yellowed than previous masks and it's also made out of a more solid plastic than those too, except the straps. Which is fine, they seem to be less likely to break now. Other than that, he's pretty identical to previous Jasons except this one is now rocking a utility belt that holsters his knife and machete, gloves, and the bottom of his pants are tattered. His paint is pretty well done too. There's very little slop, and everything's in order. There's even blood spattered on his pants and shirt. Another neat paint detail is that his head also some subtle green on his head and neck as if to replicate his skin rotting or moss.Of course, this is an action figure and if an action figure can't move then it's just a figure. Worry not, he moves as well as any previous Jason from NECA. I had a problem here in which his head was loose but it was an easy fix. His head is a peg with a balljoint in the neck, his shoulders go up and down, his elbows are single jointed and they swivel from side to side as well. His wrists are balljointed, as are his legs which are hidden under a rubber crotch piece. He has a slight ab crunch hidden beneath his shirt that also moves acts as a waist turn. Getting back to his legs, his knees are single jointed and act similar to his arms and finally his ankles are balljointed allowing them to move up, down, and allowing them to pivot slightly. Now we come to what sets him above previous Jasons, and that's accessories. Of course he comes with the mask and the machetes but that's just the start. He also has a standard hunting knife, and an alternate hand to hold that knife. That alternate hand also holds the fencepost from the beginning of the movie which comes in half. It has a peg on one end which you used to attach both halves together. I wish it was made out of a softer plastic because it feels really flimsy and the peg can get really tight in there. I personally think that the best accessory is the tombstone that says "Jason Voorhees" on it. It's a neat little prop that ties into the movie really well.So if you have a previous Jason and are happy with it you might not want to get this one, since the most he has against the others are a better built mask and more accessories. This is the first highly articulated "zombie Jason" we're getting from NECA, so if you prefer that iteration this is the Jason for you. I think the changes and additions make it a much better choice, along with the inflated prices of previous releases, but that's up to you. Overall, this is a strong addition to NECA's 'Ultimate' line and I hope we get a Part VII Jason or Uber Jason next. A new iteration of Freddy Krueger would also be welcome.Zombie Jason from Part 6. Cooler than cool. Has the proper yellow gloves and knife belt and all the screen accurate props: Knife, machete and gate post/spear and tiny tombstone. Most special to me, this being my very first Jason figure, is that the mask is a mask! Buying this, I thought the "masked" head would be a changeable head (like the Neca Terminator for example comes with sunglasses head, battledamaged head, etc.) but this is a tiny little hockey mask, with straps that goes on and off the "maggot-head" Jason! Also, the box itself is the original movie poster and looks great as a backdrop for Jason on my shelf?Neca figures. Collecting them brings me so much joy and also the occasional frustration. They have awesome screen accuracy and detail but they are expensive, extremely fragile and not user friendly. If you want to start collecting them. Have a hair dryer handy to loosen joints and a super glue pen to fix tiny breaks. But most important. Upon opening a Neca figure, you have it free from the plastic and twisty tie and you have it in your hand. Always stop for a moment and take a big smell of that plastic and remember *sniff* the magic of childhood? My 5 year old is obsessed with Jason and has to have them all!I always loved the NECA Jason figures, starting with part 3, then 4. Part 6 Jason is probably my favorite Jason look available as a NECA figure (really wish they made a part 7), so I was extremely excited for this. As usual, the detail on this figure is amazing, from the molding to the paint, it's a great collector's piece. However, there were a few design flaws with it.For one, the head is extremely loose. There aren't any alternate heads, and I tried fitting it on more, but it didn't work. While not a huge issue, it is rather disappointing, considering the part 3 and 4 didn't have this problem. The only other flaw was that his one hand for holding the spear wasn't wide enough for the spear to go through. I ended up getting a small pocket knife to scrape out some plastic.Besides these issues, I love the figure. As mentioned before, the paint and molding is fantastic, and it comes with some nice accessories. Would definitely recommend to Friday the 13th fans and NECA fans. This is hands down my all time favorite jason I don't care what people say about the movie this jason is frickin awesome!! The downside is that it was like $60 buckaroo so that was bogus but hey my favorite Jason!! Ps my fence Spear broke right away but is still usable so be careful!TL DEALZ did a great job. I collect these figures so the packaging is important to me. They packed it with care so the product and the display box were awesome! Definitely go with them again.A great version of Jason from my favourite Friday film. NECA’s ultimate part 4 Jason is the better figure in terms of the overall look and accessories, but this is nevertheless a great piece. The accessories are decent enough. The machete and knife fit into the holsters, which adds a nice level of extra detail. The fence post is nice and weathered, and by far the most distinctive weapon from the film. The best accessory is the little gravestone that underlines Jason’s undead status. The packaging from NECA is typically impressive. It’s a shame that the great work that has gone into the base of the grave won’t really be seen, but shows the attention to detail and real care that goes into these.Jason himself is full of great little touches. The bullet holes, the tattered trouser bottoms, the belt, and clothing folds all go together to make this a quality piece. His rotten face is actually a bit disturbing. Almost as disturbing as Jason’s human face. The mask doesn’t have eye holes, but this is movie accurate and doesn’t really stand out when the figure is on a shelf. I still might use the spare mask from part 4 though.I was hesitant about getting this due to price and already owning the part 4 and Nintendo versions, however I couldn’t resist it once I saw the upcoming NECA Friday accessories pack with the rock, chain, Camp Blood sign, and stand to get the ‘floating’ pose. Those accessories combined with this figure will look amazing. Just a shame he’s not waterproof as I’d love to stick him in my fish tank!“I’ve seen enough horror movies to know any weirdo wearing a mask is never friendly”My favourite movie of the franchise and neca didn’t let us down on this variant! Superb detail and movement, the shirt & groin area are rubberised plastic so it hides the joints well. The spear thing is in two parts but you wouldn’t know when in Jason’s hand. Mask is removable with a great likeness underneath & lastly he stands up very well unaided. For being a slightly older figure this is still a great Jason figure that I'd highly recommend to anyone who's a fan of Friday the 13th. The only things I'd say to watch out for are the hands which might give you a bit of trouble when he's holding the weapons when it comes to putting them in/taking them out of his hands, at least on mine they're very tight, but it's still a great figure nonetheless. This figure is amazing, the best Jason Voorhees figure out there in my opinion. A great sculpt, great accessories, removable mask, and amazing collector friendly packaging.Only downsides are that mine had very loose legs, although it isn't hard to get him to stand up in multiple poses. I hear a few people have had this problem but not worth removing a star. If your a horror fan, Friday fan, Neca fan this is a must have.Poor quality. Fell to pieces and cannot be put back together. Don’t waste your money.
