These are great. The price is right and they increase your cutting ability by 30-40%. However, they do not work as well as the Irwin cutters that cost 5 times more. They also came with a spot of rust on the flats but it doesn’t impact function. 4 stars only due to the rust and the fit and finish isn’t awesome.Work great, doesn't strain your hand on thicker wire or multiple.They work like regular wire cutters. They cut fine, but there is no extra cutting power or leverage. They are just like any other functioning cutters. I biught them because I was working on a project that reqired many wire cuts and there was no difference in these and my regular ones.This is a very good set of wire cutters. It would have been even better if there was a spring in between the handles to automatically open them back up.I like the power slot style tools. Fits my hand well. Does a great job.The wife used it as a hammer the first week I had it. Still works how it should.I liked the first one alot. Then my wife took it. So I ordered 2 more so I would have one at work and home.I have no gripes at all about these pliers. Compound cutting pliers can cost upwards of $50 (Irwin/Vise grips) so this is a deal and they are also well made. For anybody who doesn't understand, compound cutting pliers can cut thicker material with less effort for the same reason that a compound bow is easier to draw than a recurve bow even with a lighter draw weight. In other words, with standard, single fulcrum wire cutters you are essentially limited in what you can cut by the strength of your hand. Obviously, the same applies to a degree with compound action cutters, but the design allows you to make easier cuts with thicker material. I use these mostly for cutting thick gauge trimmer line for commercial weed whackers. Needle nose helps to loosen any old, stubborn trimmer line. Easy to control in your hand for lighter jobs too.These are Crrscent, so you just know they’ll outlast the original buyer - by decades. Great functionality too - and all this from one who is a firm believer that if you need anything “Pliery”, then it can only be from Knipex...
