One of the best mounts you can get for the Howa. Light, perfectly aligned, and fairly sleek. None of the frustration of aligning bases and rings that come with two piece mounts. I put the "low" mounts on my 1500 short action sporter (#2 barrel), and mounted a Leupold VX-6 with a 44mm objective. Perfect fit, plenty of room for a Butler Creek scope cap, but not enough to make cheekweld and alignment difficult. I like them enough that I also have them on my 7 Remington Magnum and 204 Sporter. And yes, you need to compare model numbers to be sure you are getting the 1" or 30mm, or you can scroll all the way down the page to the "give away" set-up and it will specify 1" vs 30mmThese are great mounts. I have 2 sets on other guns already.
