The product came better then what I expected. The extra time they took in packaging with the protection wrap made it so much better for me as a collector. Not the most posable, but still an excellent figure.I mostly have it posed with my other figures, but the toy itself is still solid enough for play of you would get it for someone younger. This re-release of Powermaster Optimus Prime sees the iconic Autobot leader far more articulate and detailed than the original from the 1980's. Like other Generations, Titans Return, and Combiners figures, he is a little more complicated to transform than his original predecessor. But that is due to the redesign making him far more versatile and poseable than most of the G1 figures were.In addition, this Powermaster Optimus Prime is more Headmaster Optimus Prime with a lot more firepower. He no longer has a Powermaster engine but a removable head. You lift up the front "mask" (pictured) and the head transforms. Some people may be annoyed with that, but I think the figure is still awesome.I have included a photograph of this figure next to the original Powermaster Optimus Prime for visual comparison. Big difference. I loved the original as a child. This one is awesome as well and I'm glad to have him in my collection!I paid over 150.00 for figure. It is way too flimsy. The plastic is too thin. For the price it should be more well built. I love Optimus but the price should be less than half the cost. This product will not be durable over time. I am afraid to transform it.I am a fairly casual Transformers collector. That being said, my opinions are not real professional but practically based on my first impression. The color of this Prime looks very nicely done. I didn't find any flaws or any parts that were missing some color which is a must for me, otherwise, it's time to print the return label. As for the size, it's fairly medium size when compares to the "Over 2 feet" ones.In terms of the transformation process, I can't say much of anything since I haven't opened mine from the box yet and probably won't be doing so anytime soon. To me, it looks good from the box and the box wasn't damage. As part of the collection, it stands tall and proud to be part of the Prime corner. What were you thinking, Hasbro? You make this killer looking figure, and then make two massive mistakes. First, This is not a powermaster. This figure transforms from robot mode to truck mode, but the trailer is attached, so there is no regular Prime figure to be removed from the armor, and there is no powermaster feature at all. This is simple a weak approximation of a powermaster. That having been said, the real crime here is the hollow arms. are you freaking kidding me? This figure looks stellar, right up until you realize that there are no panels to cover the inside of the arms. This breaks the illusion, and more importantly makes this look like a cheap figure. TAKARA DID NOT DO THIS FOR THE SUPER GINRAI FIGURE. There is no gaping chasm on the inside of the arms, but rather a very finished look. I've dropped hundreds after hundreds of dollars on Combiner Wars figures, and I've started noticing this hollowing trend. I have decided that this is the last new figure I will buy until QC improves. Cover the holes, Hasbro. give us the whole toy. I dropped fifty bucks on this figure, and it doesn't look as good as many of the knockoffs do. I HAD TO GO TO SHAPEWAYS AND ORDER FILLER PANELS FOR THIS FIGURE. Get with the flipping program, HasTak.My son got this for his 7th birthday and was able to master and memorize all the steps to convert him back and forth. My husband loves it because it looks like the ones he played with as a child.
