People complain about the Revoltech joints and the ratchety sound they make when you move them, but that doesn’t bother me. People seem to have too high a standard in how they grade an action figure, they are looking for perfection. When it comes to cheap, mass produced molded plastic, you’re not going to get perfection, period. You can’t even get perfection when you shell out $400 on a Sideshow Collectible figure. My expectations are simple, It shouldn’t break out of the box, the paint should be at least 85% on the mark, and the accessories should fit in the figures hands and holsters. Rarely is a small 6” figure going to look exactly like the source (NECA got pretty close with their Arnold Schwarzenegger Predator action figures last year though), and rarely is there that perfect blend of asthetics and poseability. This figure gets awfully close though.I think this is the best Star Wars 6” figure currently available. I was a big fan of the first line of the Star Wars Black Series figures, but they seem to have gotten worse over the last few waves, save for a few figures here and there. I am eagerly looking forward to Bandai’s S.H. Figuarts Star Wars line slated to release around August of this year. After getting my hands on this Revoltech Stormtrooper, I’m pretty excited to see their Boba Fett figure that is scheduled to come out later this month. So what’s in the box? Here you get two fisted hands that are already on the figure out of the box, a right and left trigger hand, and a right and left gripping hand. You also get the standard E-11 blaster rifle, and the bigger DLT-18 Heavy Blaster Rifle. I think this is the most accurate looking Stormtrooper figure on the market to date in this scale. The fragility of some parts of this figure are what keep this from being perfect. Yes, this figure is just about perfect. The snap piece on the holster popped out of place just simply by holding the figure and posing it. I tried super gluing it back but the peg is so small it keeps popping out. It drives me nuts. I also snapped off the bottom piece of the DLT-18 rifle just seeing how sturdy it was (it is not sturdy, not at all). This isn’t a super fragile figure, the joints are rock solid, but the rifle and the holster are weak, so watch out for that if you’re taking yours out of the package.Aside from a few issues with the fragile nature of the holster and Heavy Blaster Rifle, this figure is damn near perfect. You can get this dude in any position you can think of. Revoltech did a fantastic job on the articulation with this figure and how the armor hides a lot of the joints, far more than any of their Iron Man figures. If you love Japanese import figures, Star Wars, or Stormtroopers, you have to get this. I’m serious, even with the issues, this is one of the best figures of the year so far and I doubt any other company will top this Stormtrooper any time soon. FULLY APROVED.
