These are the RE-ISSUE of Wave / Series 01 Batman Animated figure line by DC Collectibles... They improved the plastics used for far better durability and got rid of the UGLY visible pegs seen on the thighs from the first release.Breakage is no longer much of an issue with these but if you end up receiving this figure WITH the pegs on his thighs, don't even bother opening it. Exchange it until they send you the re-issued / fixed version that does not have the visible pegs on the thighs... Same goes for the "Batman the Animated Series" Catwoman from series 01 ....Although they upgraded the plastics and made these figures way more durable, these figures still should NOT BE PURCHASED FOR CHILDREN.. These are ADULT COLLECTIBLES.. Buying them for a child is both irresponsible and a waste of money, because no matter how durable the plastics they use are, children will break these figures without even trying. .Sadly, DC Collectibles never re-issued the other 2 figures from series 01, "The New Batman Adventures" Mr.Freeze and Two Face so buy those figures with caution, that they break easily.... HOWEVER, they will be coming out with "Batman the Animated Series" versions of both of these characters, which will be better figures anyway.
