Although I am new to collecting the Robot Damashii line, I can already say this is the poorest figure of the small lot that I have bought. I just started collecting them this year and have a total of eight (8). I'd recommend any of them over this one. That's saying a lot as one is a rather pricey web exclusive (GAT-X207 Blitz Gundam). However, I would like to start with the positives. From the moment I saw the Anime, I loved the design of this mobile suit. It was strikingly different from any other MS I could remember (At least the starting MS for any main protagonists). The cockpit was in the upper chest (not an entirely new concept) instead of the traditional lower torso because of the skinny, almost skeletal waist. It also seems more pointy than previous series. Its fingures were pointed like claws rather than rounded. It gave it a more demonic look (appropriate considering the name). This figure captures that look perfectly. The articulation is a bit different from other MS figures in the line, but it still works, The elbows and knees are not double jointed like normal, but they still achieve the same amount of posability as a double jointed one. I love the pistons that accompany some of the articulation (i.e. chest, knees, feet). The only articulation that feels less are the wrists. They are simple ball joints on posts. Previous figures have had the post plug into the forearm with another ball joiny. This is remedied by the holding things hands. They grip the weapons tight enough to keep a hold of them, but loose enough to have more varied poses. This is wonderful for the katana. Its signature mace also has the pop-up spike on the tip. This figure is a type of odd that I just dig.Sadly, as much as I like this figure, it has some massive flaws in my book. For one, the plastic feels cheaper than any other figure in the line than I've collected. I can give it a little slack on that front though, as I also bought the GAT-X105E Strike Noir, which was released earlier the same year. It also felt a little cheaper than previous figures. However, what I can't look over is the lack of accessories. It is very basic, consisting of just three sets of hands (fists, holding things, and splayed) its signature mace w/ two shafts, the katana, and two clips to store both weapons on its back. Really? That's it? This is a Gundam that went through 6 or 7 different forms in the first season, and they couldn't include some armor pieces for those additional forms? There are holes on the underside of the forearms that look like they're meant to plug something into them. However the most glaring omission for me is the Smoothbore gun. This felt like a must for this figure. Bandai might be planning a web-exclusive add-on accessory kit for the figure later, but for now: it feels bare bones. So it is simpler, does that really warrant a just "It's okay" score. No, but the last and most frustrating issue I have with the figure does. The hands pop off FAR too easy. It is infuriating. They stay on fine usually when posing with the mace, but pop off without fail when posing with the katana two-handed. The cheapness of the plastic and lack of accessories is nothing compared to this anger inducing issue. However, this might be an issue with just my figure.I really want to love and recommend this figure, but I can't give my full endorsement with the hand problem. Buy with caution Gundam and Mecha fans.
