This unit saved my failing batteries. It replaces. a similar looking but much simpler "two state" charger that was failing to adequately top off the gel cells on my Permobil C – 300. As I have. full power seating including lift, and down in the chair most. of the day I tend to run down my batteries frequently. I had not paid enough attention to giving them long charge periods and was finding that they no longer took full charge. I will not say the batteries now act as if they were brand-new, but the charge was lasts much longer since switching to this charger. in provides three functions: fast charging, a lower rate "topping charge" which stabilizes the battery at its highest charge, and finally a trickle charge. I like the fact that the manufacturer recommends it be left on and connected whenever the chair is not in use. My previous charger had a warning against such use. This is one of the best chargers I’ve had for my Quantum Q6 Edge. I liked the status lights especially the battery disconnect light that lets you know the charger isn’t connected to the chair. Saved a lot of money rather then purchasing another charger from the OEM. for a full charge expect it to take 12-16 hrs.I just bought an Invacare Power Wheelchair for $200 used. The batteries are the Absorbent Glass Mat (Gel Cells) type and are only 3 months old.At first I thought there was something wrong with the batteries; they wouldn't hold a full charge.I'm supposed to get a 10 mile range on a full charge; but was only getting about 1 mile range.Second day, the battery charger died; suggesting that was the problem.Since I'd have to get a new one anyways, I bought this to see if it was the problem. If I now get a full charge and the estimated 10 mile cruising range, I've just saved myself $360 in batteries. This power supply works as advertised. When connected to a battery needing a charge it starts charging at 8 amps and flashes a red LED. As the battery approaches being charges the flashing LED becomes yellow. At full charge the LED comes on solid green.Opened the battery and it looks nothing like the pictures. It was an older version of the battery pictured and not worth the price. I bought from here thinking it would be what was pictured which would have been worth the asking price. What I got wasn't worth the amount of money I spent, nor the right battery at all. I got a large clunky battery that is not portable at all. It is not at all what the images look like. It is not worth the money and I am very disappointed. Buyer Beware, this seller sells cheaper versions of what is seen in the pictures for more than the cheaper version is worth. What a scam. The battery I got when I researched would have only been worth $75 max. What a rip off. This battery charger has been working great for charging my power wheelchair after the charger I had, quit functioning.I DO LIKE THE INDICATOR LIGHTS BECAUSE THEY DO A DECENT JOB OF KEEPING ME INFORMED OF THE CHARGE STATUS BUT THE REAL DOWN SIDE ARE THE WIRES, THEY ARE NOW SO STIFF THAT THEY RETAIN THEIR CORKSCREW SHAPE EVEN AFTER KEEPING THEM SOAKED WITH SILICONE SPRAY AND PUT IN THE HOT SUN. I GAVE UP TRYING TO REVIVE THEM. I JUST MAKE SURE I KEEP THE CHARGER ANCHORED SOMEHOW WHEN I HAVE TO PLUG THE THING IN. THE CHARGER IS LIGHT.Arrived when expected and has worked properly since purchase.
